Terms of Service
Please read through these terms carefully before using CompSciWorld.
Last updated September 21, 2026By creating an account or using CompSciWorld, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please don't use the platform.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
Tutoring sessions are billed per session and scheduled for up to one hour. You're paying for the booked time slot; sessions aren't guaranteed to run the full duration if concluded early by mutual agreement. Session confirmations, calendar invites, and video meeting links (e.g., Google Meet) are provided upon booking. Tutor availability varies and isn't guaranteed — at any given time, there may be limited or no tutors available for a given subject, and tutors may adjust or reduce their open hours at their discretion. CompSciWorld does not guarantee that any tutor will be available at any given time, and holding a Pro or Premium membership does not entitle you to a guaranteed tutor match — CompSciWorld isn't liable for the unavailability of tutors.
Cancellations & Refunds
To keep CompSciWorld a respectful and safe platform, users must not:
Tutors are independent contractors, not employees of CompSciWorld. Tutors are responsible for the accuracy of their listed qualifications and availability, and must honor confirmed bookings or provide timely cancellation with a full refund to the student.
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. CompSciWorld retains a platform fee from tutor payouts as disclosed in the tutor agreement. By using the platform, you authorize us to charge your payment method for purchases, bookings, and subscriptions.
All platform content, branding, and tutorial materials (excluding user-submitted Showcase projects) belong to CompSciWorld and may not be copied, distributed, or used commercially without permission.
CompSciWorld provides tutorials, tutoring, and related content "as is." We don't guarantee specific learning outcomes. Tutoring sessions are facilitated by independent tutors, and CompSciWorld isn't responsible for the quality or accuracy of advice given during sessions, beyond enforcing our Code of Conduct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CompSciWorld isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to the unavailability of tutors for booking despite an active paid subscription or membership.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, including but not limited to sharing paid content, abusive behavior, or fraudulent payment activity. We also reserve the right to suspend or delete free accounts that do not have an active paid subscription or membership, including accounts that have remained on the free tier for an extended period of time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of CompSciWorld after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
